As a survivor of severe child abuse who has lived the majority of my 58 years of life just trying to survive in a world, I did not feel that I fit into. Nevertheless, I always had the insight that abusing and hurting others did not feel right. That being said, I had zero skills to help me move through adulthood as an abuse survivor. Today, I am a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 6. I have a Bachelor of Science in psychology and am a US Army veteran.

There are so many things that I wish I could take back or do over, yet that is not the case. So for me facing those mistakes head-on has been my success in healing.
